Day 11

This morning, Ryan had speech and physical therapy. In PT, Ryan was practice for a bunch of students. He did one transfer after another with the different students. He was cracking jokes and telling them "good job." You could tell some of the students were nervous and had never helped transfer a patient before. But, he had them all laughing and at ease. 

But, the real exciting stuff happened after lunch. :) Ryan went canoeing with his "outdoor pursuits" therapist. They went out to a small "lake" in the area. They canoed out and back. Ryan said it was "pretty fun" which, for him, is high praise. He said it wasn't as difficult as he thought it would be.

This afternoon, a life skills therapist took Ryan to the grocery store. He had to get all the ingredients needed for him to make three meals. He chose mac and cheese, hot dogs, and his special hamburgers.
