Update #60

Ryan attended Group this morning. They did the normal orientation, reviewed the news and played a round of “Blurt.”

In PT, the therapist had him stand at the parallel bars and work on his balance. They also had him put one foot on a block and take it off. This helps him work on shifting his weight. After that, the therapist worked with Ryan on the mat and did some leg exercises.

In OT/KT the therapist worked with Ryan on brushing his teeth. After that, they brought Ryan over to the mat and did some modified push-ups and weight bearing on all fours.

The speech therapist worked with Ryan on correct pronunciation and breathing. She also worked with Ryan on raising and lowering the tone in his voice.

Ryan had a CT scan of his eyes this evening. The scan will determine if his broken orbital bone is affecting his vision. I’ll know more about the results of this test after the doctors discuss them.
