Ryan stayed on the oxygen mask all day. He was visited by physical therapy and occupational therapy. He was opening his eyes more today and looking around. Ryan is becoming more aware of his surroundings. I think he is starting to feel a little anxious. When he opens his eyes, he seems a little tense. But, I've been comforting him and telling him where he is and that everything is going to be okay. I've taken his hand and let him feel his left side (in case he wasn't sure it was still there). I've explained the different cords and things on him so that he is away of what is going on. This seems to comfort him. (Or, it scares him back to sleep. Not sure. haha! j/k)
