Quilts Of Valor

Last week I was presented with an awesome handmade quilt by Quilts Of Valor.  I think it's so great that patriotic people that may not have served in the armed forces can join this organization as a way to show their support for the military.  To know that this quilt was mostly made by the lady (Lisa Akin) that raised my Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) Service Dog (Docker) made it much more meaningful!  Docker also liked his quilt and wanted to say thanks, although I think he mainly focused on his treat throughout the presentation.

After the ceremony, there was a small gathering at a nearby park with CCI-East Bay members and their members.
