We got a chance to see the hand-cycling race. It was very cool. There were some serious athletes in that race. We also watched a couple softball games. It looked like so much fun. Ryan even commented that he would like to go hand-cycling more often. He said it was a good workout.
It is just amazing and inspirational to see what disabled people can do. They are faced with more challenges than I could have ever dreamed of before (but have come to understand). I'm blown away with their positive attitude and determination. Life isn't over because you are in a wheelchair. It's all about perspective. How are you going to react to this situation? That is the inspiration. :)
On Sunday, Ryan and I went to a movie and dinner. We had to stick to a budget of $40 for both. (Hard to do with the price of movies.) We went to see the movie Stepbrothers (a matinee). It was pretty funny. (Typical slapstick, boy humor.) Ryan thought it was hilarious.
After the movie we went out to eat at Applebee's. We succeeded in following our $40 budget (barely). haha!
