Let's Do This!

I recently got motivated to fire my blog back up.  Most of my developments within my life have strictly been confined to my Facebook profile.  It's time to catch you up via Blogger.com.  I will also try to keep this site current, and post any and all TBI related info that I run (roll :) into.  There are a few minor things to get  you up to speed on, but a majority of my information remains the same.  But here we go...

First up on the agenda: I got an electric scooter.  This is kinda classified as my long range transporter. at least that's how I justify it so it doesn't feel too geriatric.

I went out the other day to explore the San Ramonian concrete jungle.  It turns out that it wasn't a densely populated county.  It is in certain areas, but it's very rural in the outskirts of the center of the city.  I guess that is typical with most cities, but it just seems out of place with this being the Bay Area.

I came across a website for the Veterans Writing Project.  Their goal is to educate and facilitate veterans to not only share their story of their service, but to effectively express themselves through writing.

This project warrants a closer look.

I signed up for the 2013 Veteran Valor Games in mid June.  This should be fun!

Yesterday I did the 7th Annual Fight for Air Climb in San Francisco, CA.  This climb encompasses charging up 52 flights of stairs.  All proceeds benefit the American Lung Association.

The climb went relatively well.  Several people were assisting my balance the whole way up.  I started to get cognitively fatigued around the 45th floor so I called it a day.  Kidding.  Prior to the start of the climb I met Miss US Universal Latina.  That may have put an extra pep in my step...maybe.  :)

Sorry that's all messed up.  I worked for half of an hour in hopes of correcting it.  Alas, I give in.  I can't quite recall the proper HTML code to fix it in the Matrix.  Try highlighting the text which should put it temporarily in a darker font color.  The text should now be readable...hopefully.

This year I am taking Psychology 101 at Diablo Valley College.  I find Psychology so interesting.  I like to learn about how people perceive things and arrive at different conclusions although they were exposed to those same things.  I think I'll most likely finish this school year and then transition into a volunteer position within the San Ramon Police Department.
