Day 43

Monday morning's therapies started with the hand bike for 30 minutes, followed by constraint induced therapy. Ryan played Connect Four using his left hand.

In speech therapy, Ryan worked on his political brief on the computer.

For lunch, Ryan and two therapists went out to eat lunch at Red Lobster. (Count me jealous.) :P

In PT, Ryan walked on the light gait for a while. He also worked on strengthening his balance, hip flexors and glutes by doing some stepping exercises with a wooden box as well as some squats.

Ryan then met with a recreational therapist and worked to gather ideas and information about local events that he might be interested in.

Ryan also talked with his occupational therapist about tying up his right arm. This will force him to use his left arm for what he needs to do. According to the therapists, constraint therapy is one of the quickest ways to get functionality back in a limb. They will discuss it more and work out a therapy plan later.
