Update #93

Today, in PT, the therapist had Ryan stand on a balance machine. It shows how much weight Ryan is putting on each leg. She worked with him on weight-shifting for a little while. Then, the therapist worked with Ryan on a leg machine for his left knee. It's almost like an electronic weight machine. She programmed it to respond to his leg movements in a way that would be similar to the way his leg would extend while walking

In OT, the therapist worked with Ryan using the e-stim machine again. Another therapist offered some further options on how to help Ryan rehabilitate the movement in his left wrist and fingers. He suggested making a splint that would hold Ryan's wrist in an extended position so that the finger movements would be isolated.

In speech, the therapist worked with Ryan on reading comprehension and memory exercises.

In KT, the therapist worked with Ryan on the weight machines. Another of Ryan's tasks was to walk from machine to machine with the therapist's assistance.
